Cardi B denies claims of 'queerbaiting' in 'Wild Side' video
"I feel like it pressure artist to talk about their sexuality or their experiences that they don’t feel comfortable speaking about."
American rapper Cardi B has hit out at accusations of "queerbaiting", following the release of her latest single with Normani, 'Wild Side'.
Cardi faced the accusations of using the LGBTQ+ community for her own gain after the 'Wild Side' video showed her and Normani appearing to embrace while naked.
In a short Twitter thread, the rapper said the term could potentially force artists to reveal details about their lives that they would rather remain private.
I don’t like this new “queer baiting” word.I feel like it pressure artist to talk about their sexuality or their experiences that they don’t feel comfortable speaking about. If a artist kiss a girl on a video does that means she gotta show videos & text wit wit other women?
