Brother for the Academy 2
Cloud Control, Hello Monroe, Japanese Voyeurs & Portugal, The Man are also playing there in April.
New wave Britpoppers Brother open their Dublin account on April 19 with a show in the Academy 2, tickets for which are €13.50.
Hailed as the new Oasis – and dissed by Liam Gallagher for being southern softies – the Slough outfit are currently assembling their debut album with Stephen Street.
We’ve an interview with the band in an upcoming issue of Hot Press.
Also newly confirmed for the Middle Abbey Street venue are grungey Londoners Japanese Voyeurs (April 3); Australian indie-folkers Cloud Control (7); Alaskan weird beard experimentalists Portugal, The Man (9); and Hello Monroe, an Anglo-Irish pop outfit whose ranks include Dublin singers Rona McHugh and Aimee Prizeman (26).
