Broken Social Scene announce new album Remember the Humans
Their new single, 'Not Around Anymore', is out now.
Broken Social Scene have announced a new album Remember the Humans out May 8 via Arts & Crafts.
It's their first album since 2017's Hug of Thunder. In the interim, the Canadian music collective has kept busy, releasing an album of "B-Sides and Rarities" titled Old Dead Young.
'Not Around Anymore', the first single from Remember the Humans, is out now, along with a music video. Listen below.
Former band members Feist and Lisa Lobsinger will lend their vocal chops to Remember the Humans, along with BSS labelmate Hannah Georgas.
Last week, 'Anthems For a Seventeen-Year Old Girl' from Broken Social Scene's 2002 album You Forgot It In People was certified gold by Music Canada.

This comes on the heels of 2025's Anthems: A Celebration of Broken Social Scene's You Forgot It In People, released by Arts & Crafts to honour the iconic indie record. Maggie Rogers, Sylvan Esso, and Middle Kids were among those who contributed covers to the tribute album.
Broken Social Scene will tour North America with fellow Canadian bands Metric and Stars this summer. There is considerable crossover between the three bands, as members of both Metric and Stars have contributed to the supergroup in past album cycles.
