Bring it all back Holmes
David Holmes takes over soundtrack duties on Ocean's 11 sequel and announces Belfast date
Having made such a decent fist of the original, David Holmes has been asked to soundtrack the sequel to Ocean's 11.
Among other things, his first score was responsible for reintroducing the world to Elvis Presley's 'A Little Less Conversation'.
A remake of the '50s Rat Pack classic, Ocean's 11 boasted George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts and Matt Damon among its all-star cast, and grossed a not-to-be-sniffed-at $250,000,000 at the box-office.
"I know we can make a better film," enthuses director Stephen Soderbergh. "We'll shoot in Europe and all the actors will be in it."
The Hollywood rumour mill is also linking Holmer to Analyze That, a light-hearted Mafia romp starring Robert De Niro, Billy Crystal and Friends star Liza Kudrow.
Meanwhile, this week sees the release through 13 Amp of David Holmes Presents The Free Association.
Recorded during a 10-day studio marathon with kedyboard wiz Steven Hilton and vocalists Petra Jean Phillipson and Sean Riveron, the track-listing is: 'Don't Rhyme No Mo', 'I Wish I Had A Wooden Heart', 'Le Baggage', 'Free Ass O-C-8', 'Somedays', 'Everybody Knows', 'Pushin' A Broom', 'La Dolce Vita', 'Paper Underwear' and 'Whistlin' Down The Wind'.
In other news, Holmes is putting together a 10-piece band for a promotional tour. David Holmes presents the Free Association is to include a hometown Belfast date on December 1 and a show in the Ambassador on 30 November.
