Breathe A Word
Parade: “Breathe A Word” (Breakfast)
Damn You Peter Pan: “Germ Free Adolescence” (Idea Egg)/Parade: “Breathe A Word” (Breakfast)
A definite Irish curio. Dubliners, D.Y.P.P. enterprisingly link up with Massachussets band, Parade so both get a side to themselves on both shores of the Atlantic. Parade add to the curio factor since ‘Breathe A Word’ has disconcerting shades of mid-period U2 in its melody and a clarity at odds with the current U.S. obsession for production as camouflage as if every song and singer were retiring nocturnal mammals.

Not very fashionable and Damn You Peter Pan are also rather out of time in their own alternative universe, covering the X Ray Spex classic. It’s rather good but not quite good enough.
