Bobby Womack forced to pull out of Marlay Park gig
He'll be replaced by Irish blues legend Don Baker...
Illness has ruled out any possibility of Bobby Womack performing at the Marlay Park gig where he was due to play alongside Van Morrison and Tom Jones.
Womack has stated “I send my deepest apologies to my loyal fans around the world, and would like to thank them for their unwavering love, support and well wishes during my stay here at the hospital”.
MCD have confirmed that Don Baker will take the soul legend's place and, because of Womack's cancellation, a €10 discount will be applied to all tickets purchased between now and the gig date. A €10 voucher will be offered to anybody who purchased a ticket prior to the announcement. The voucher can be redeemed at any of concession stands in the venue.
MCD’s ten euro reduction on the concert ticket price is effective immediately bringing the cost to €49.50 including booking fee. Tickets are available from Ticketmaster
