Bless our souls!
Didn't get a ticket to see the mighty Frank Black in the Music Centre tonight? Never fear: he and The Catholics are coming soon to a Vicar St near you
With tonight's solo show at the Temple Bar Music Centre a complete sell-out, Frank Black has announced that he's bringing The Catholics to Vicar St. on October 3.
The even better news is that Black wants The Pixies to tour again.
"I do dream about the Pixies reforming, I have to say," he admits. "It's like those schoolboy dreams when you don't do your homework and you don't study for the test, but I'm at the gig and we're hanging out, but it's an utter failure and I don’t know the songs, and hardly anyone turns up for the gig and people walk out. That's what I'm afraid of, that it'd be a big, big failure."
Apparently there's already been a reunion of sorts.
"We do get together," he reveals, "and have private jams, but not for public consumption."
