Scottish rockers announce Dublin date in November.
Following their successful album Ellipsis, which debuted at No. 1 last week, Biffy Clyro have announced a live date for 3Arena.
The Scottish band have also announced a Belfast date in the SSE Arena celebrating their seventh studio album. In the current issue of Hot Press, frontman Simon Neil talks at length about the album's genesis, as well as promising that even the more gentle cuts will have that distinctly Biffy edge when they get a live runout.
“We’re a different proposition live," he tells our man Colm O'Regan. "Even the prettier songs growl that bit more, and the new ones end up sitting a lot closer to the others. I still think the power of guitars and a fuck-off drumkit is hard to beat. I’ve never lost faith in a distortion pedal and a guitar, Colm. I’ll blow any fucker away."
They hit Dublin on November 24, with the Belfast visit for the following night; tickets are available Friday.
