Berlin Fest to go ahead this Summer
Suede, Primal Scream, Mogwai and The Drums are all set to perform at the German event
Germany's Berlin Festival is set to take place again on the grounds of the city's Tempelhof Airport, on September 9 and 10.
Set to perform this year are Suede, Primal Scream, Mogwai, The Drums, Health, Pantha Du Prince, Hercules & Love Affair and Mount Kimbie, with more to be announced.
Last year's event was sadly cut short due to overcrowding, however, organisers have decided to host some of the performances in various other venues throughout the city. Punters will also have free entry to over 30 clubs in this ultimate party city - wahey!
The accompanying Popkomm event is a fantastic showcase of smaller bands - last year saw Irish acts Yes Cadets, Cast of Cheers and Dark Room Notes perform in venues and clubs around the city. Check out Maeve Heslin's report on the 2010 event here.
Tickets are on sale now, €89 from [link]www.berlinfestival.de/tickets[/link].
