Beoga announce run of Belfast and Dublin shows with special guests
Tickets go on sale Wednesday at 10 am.
Beoga have announced a run of Belfast and Dublin shows this winter with special guests including Huartan, Pauline Scanlon, Rua Rí, Maykay and more.
The Belfast dates include December 2, 4 and 6 at The Empire, while in Dublin they'll perform December 12 at Whelan's, 13 at the Workman's Club and 14 at The Grand Social.
This comes after the Irish trad band performed for the Garvaghy Road community on Thursday, to show solidarity with protestors.
They wrote on their Instagram that they are "in awe of the wonderful community on the Garvaghy road tonight. A shining example of solidarity, people power, culture, resistance and standing firm for peace and dignity in our communities."
They also recently exited Ed Sheeran's LOOP tour, along with all other support acts, due to US rapper Macklemore's removal. He was dismissed after calling for a 'free Palestine', during his opening set at Sheeran's concert on September 4 in New Jersey.
In August, Beoga released a new single, 'Blackbirds & Thrushes (Elaine Mai remix)', and before that, in February, they released an acoustic EP Phases (In The Room). This marked an intentional return to their traditional Irish folk roots after a four-year break from touring and releasing music.
They are also scheduled to play a sold-out set at Dolans Warehouse in Limerick on October 24, supported by Annika Kilkenny and the duo Lucia & Maria.
Tickets for their December shows go on sale Wednesday at 10 am here.
