Beck announces new album Ride Lonesome
The announcement is accompanied by the release of new single 'In The Night'.
Beck has announced his new album, Ride Lonesome, which is due for release on September 18 via Capitol Records. Alongside the announcement, the eight-time Grammy winner has shared the record's latest single, 'In The Night'.
Ride Lonesome marks the American singer-songwriter's first studio album of original material since 2019's Hyperspace.
The record's title track was released in April, followed by its subsequent duet version featuring Sierra Ferrell.
The new album follows a busy period for Beck, who earlier this year released Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometime, an eight-track collection of rarities, cover versions and previously unreleased recordings. He has also collaborated in recent years with artists including Phoenix, Paul McCartney, The Chemical Brothers and Orville Peck.
The announcement comes ahead of Beck's Ride Lonesome Tour, which begins in September and will see him perform across North America in support of the new album.
Beck, born Beck David Campbell, first rose to international prominence with his 1993 breakthrough single 'Loser', which became an alternative rock anthem and launched his major-label debut Mellow Gold the following year.
Over the course of his career, the Los Angeles musician has released 15 studio albums, becoming known for blending genres including alternative rock, folk, hip hop, funk and electronic music.
