Nostalgia for Ballyhaunis and giant underwater jellyfish - step into Autamata's world
Autamata follow-up their October 8 visit to The Village, Dublin with the release of a limited edition four-track EP.
Available in 3" CD and 10" vinyl formats, Tales From My Sanctuary features 'Jive County', 'Out Of This (Autalounge Remix)', 'Where The Heart Is' and 'Fragments (Electribe Remix)'.
''Where The Heart Is' is a new track featuring myself on vocals and captures the images I have of my childhood upbringing in Ballyhaunis, County Mayo – I'd call it 'cinematic,'" explains Mr. Autamata, Ken McHugh. "The 'Out Of This' remix is a completely new version with fat beats, dub bass, tripped out mandolins, swirling Rhodes piano, ambient guitar textures and Carol from The Tycho Brahe's angelic voice – very chilled."
Workaholic that he is, McHugh has also recorded the next Autamata single, 'Jellyman', which is due in January.

"We're doing two videos with the D.A.D.D.Y. team whose work I love," he resumes. "'Jellyman' will be a complete animation set in a strange underwater world where (featured vocalist) Cathy Davy is kidnapped by a giant jellyfish and the Autamata army are sent to save her in their submarines."
Having already wowed punters and critics here, Autamata's My Sanctuary receives its UK release in the New Year courtesy of a three-album deal with London independent RGR Records.
