Van Morrison to play the Derry Earth Music Festival, as well as a night-before warmup at a (!) 16th-century pub in Wiltshire
Van Morrison brings it all back home on August 17th when he headlines the Earth Music Festival at Derry's Prehan Stadium.
The crowd will be rather more sizable than the one he's playing to on August 3rd at The Crown pub in Everleigh, Wiltshire.
Landlords Gary and Sarah Jane Marlow are spending £37,000 on luring Van to their 16th century boozer.
"It's taken two years to get him," reveals Mr. Marlow. "He's very pedantic and choosy, but it'll be worth it. It's a bit bizarre having him at this pub in Wiltshire, but it's very cool and will be a special night."
A limited number of tickets are still available by ringing (0044) 1264 852664.
Meanwhile, support for the Derry gig is provided by those other Celtic Soulsters The Waterboys and The Revs.
