Vermont folk singer Anaïs Mitchell has confirmed she will play Dublin's Sugar Club on June 3.

The singer's 2004 debut Hymns For The Exiled caught the attention of Ani DiFranco, who promptly signed Mitchell to her Righteous Babe Records label.

Six years later, the singer's folk opera album Hadestown - an epic retelilng of the Orpheus myth - was given the thumbs up by Hot Press' Peter Murphy: "Hadestown is a panoramic neo-Brechtian extravaganza... Our only complaint is we didn't get to see it enacted on the stage."
