Amazing grace

Texan trio Lift To Experience had to pull out of their Dublin Castle appearance with The Frames on Monday after the tragic news came through from their hometown of Denton that Josh "Bear" Browning's wife had died.

The bassist received the news as he, singer Josh Pearson and drummer Andy Young were in Dublin's Sun Studios recording a session for BBC Northern Ireland's Across The Line.

"The band were just finishing off the mix and, as a tribute to Josh's wife, added a few bars of 'Amazing Grace'," says a source close to the band. "It was very, very emotional."
