Amanda Byram to host IFTA Awards

Amanda Byram has been announced as the host of the first IFTA Television Awards.
The ceremony - which will be held on October 22, and broadcast on TV3 on October 25 - will be helmed by the Dublin-born star, well known all over the world as host of The Swan and Total Wipeout.
She ain't half happy about it either, exclaiming "I am so honoured to be hosting the IFTA Gala TV Awards! Having been a spectator and a supporter of the IFTAS since day one, so this is a dream gig for me."
"I believe that supporting Irish talent and the industry is of the utmost importance. It is also important to acknowledge, support and reward those who work so hard to make the Irish TV industry what it is."
