Aiming to please: the Grand Central entourage targets Dublin
With a ten-piece band and three guest vocalists, Aim drops at The Village next week
The Village will be the place to experience British hip hop at its jazzy, beat-licious best when Aim brings his Grand Central entourage to town on October 29.
Not content with a ten-piece band joining him onstage, Aim (aka Andy Turner) will also feature long-time vocal collaborator, Kate Rogers, as well as Niko (Mr Scruff, Only Child) and MC Spikey Tee (Mr Scruff, Bomb The Bass, Rebel MC).
Having appeared on both of Aim’s Cold Water Music and Hinterland albums, Kate Rogers will also be opening the Village festivities with a solo performance.
And while her debut album St. Eustacia will not be available until February 2004, the Canadian singer (and cousin of Grand Central founder Mark Rae) will be whetting appetites with her Welcome EP which hits shelves October 31.
