Aiken will continue to book acts for Vicar Street
Dublin Venue owner Harry Crosbie has revealed more details of his deal with US venue operator Live Nation.
Live Nation have solidified their relationship with Dublin venue owner Harry Crosbie. However, the US multi-national venue operator and promoter will not be taking over the booking of artists for Vicar St.
Talking to Hot Press, Harry Crosbie has clarified the position in relation to the running of the various theatres that are part of his portfolio. "Live Nation have a management contract to run The Point," he told Hot Press. "They'll also be running the new theatre that we're building in Hanover Quay. That'll all come under Mike Adamson's brief. And the same will apply to Vicar St."
The arrangement, according to Crosbie, allows all of the venues to benefit from bulk purchasing and other cost savings.
However booking for Vicar Street will continue to be handled by Aiken Promotions. "The acts for Vicar Street," Crosbie informed Hot Press, "will be booked by Aiken Promotions. That's the same as it always was."
Peter Aiken of Aiken Promotions also confirmed that there is no change to his existing relationship with Vicar Street. "Nothing has changed," he said, "Harry and I are still partners in Vicar Street."
