Achtung Baby covers album to benefit Concern's famine work
AHK-toong BAY-bi Covered is available for download from today.
The album of U2 covers that’s being given away with the current issue of Q is also being made available for paid iTunes download today (November 15). All proceeds from the sales of AHK-toong BAY-bi Covered are going to Concern’s Horn of Africa initiative, which is providing emergency relief for the ten million people in the region affected by severe drought.
A track by track re-working of the U2 classic Achtung Baby, it features a track apiece from Nine Inch Nails, Damien Rice, Patti Smith, Garbage, Depeche Mode, Snow Patrol, The Fray, Gavin Friday, The Killers, Glasvegas, Jack White and U2 themselves who get the Jacques Lu Cont remix treatment on ‘Even Better Than The Real Thing’.
