50 Cent announces Dublin show
50 Cent is to play a gig at Dublin’s Point Depot on September 18.
The Queens’ rapper will headline the gig, having played on the bill at Eminem’s Slane Castle concert the previous day.
50 Cent overcame a number of setbacks, including an incident in which he was shot nine times, to become one of America’s hottest rappers.
He pricked up Eminem’s ears with his bootleg CD 50 Cent Is The Future, and quickly became a pet project for Em, and his own mentor Dr. Dre.
His 2003 debut proper Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ topped the Billboard Charts, and featured the monster hit single ‘In Da Club’.
He repeated the success with this year’s The Massacre album.
Tickets for the Dublin show range in price from €54.50 to €60.00, and will go on sale on Thursday July 7 at 9.00am.
