"Thanks to our incredibly supportive fans, we say 'fuck 'em'"

The Cranberries have revealed that they're unhappy with their new American record company.

"Some members (of MCA) informed us that in their eyes Wake Up And Smell The Coffee is 'over' in the States and they've moved on to other things," explains drummer Fergal Lawlor. "Not the words of encouragement you like to hear as you're about to embark on a U.S. tour! Thanks to our incredibly supportive fans we say, 'Fuck 'em!' We've been here a few weeks now and all the gigs have been great."

Despite Wake Up… stalling outside the Billboard Top 30, the band have been averaging 10,000 punters a night on their American tour, with many of the dates selling-out. Their sets have included the two new songs that they recorded last month in Miami.

"The first is 'New New York', which Dolores wrote the lyrics for when she got back to the hotel after the gig in NYC," Lawlor continues. "The music is chunky guitars with heavy bass and drums, and to top it off a beautiful melody. The second is 'Stars', which is a really catchy love song. We played it live for the first time last night and the audience seemed to be into it, so that's a good sign."

After a quick nip back to Europe for some festival appearances, Lawlor & Co. brew up a storm in Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong and Korea.
