Netflix have released the first official trailer for their upcoming series House of Guinness, set to premiere on September 25.
Following one of Europe's most prominent dynasties, the Guinness family, the series was written by Steven Knight and will run for eight episodes.
"Set in 19th-century Dublin and New York,” the series’ official logline reads, “the story begins immediately after the death of Sir Benjamin Guinness, the man responsible for the extraordinary success of the Guinness brewery, and the far-reaching impact of his will on the fate of his four adult children, Arthur, Edward, Anne, and Ben, as well as on a group of Dublin characters who work and interact with the phenomenon that is Guinness.”
The cast will include Belfast actor Anthony Boyle as Arthur Guinness, Louis Partridge as Edward Guinness, as well as Emily Fairn, Fionn O’Shea, James Norton, Niamh McCormack, Seamus O’Hara, Michael McElhatton, Dervla Kirwan, and more.
Knight is most known for writing and creating the critically acclaimed crime drama Peaky Blinders, as well as the screenplay for Dirty Pretty Things, which earned him an Academy Award nomination.
