WATCH: Kesha to release documentary about "life-saving" album
The documentary is due to be released next month
Kesha is releasing a documentary about the making of her latest album, Rainbow, on 10 August.
The trailer for Rainbow - The Film has been released by Apple Music, from which the documentary will be available to view next month.
The trailer features voice overs by Kesha and a variety of shots - some cinematic, others from studio sessions and live performances, including her Grammy rendition of 'Praying'.
Rainbow is Kesha's third studio album and was released in August of last year.
It was also her first album release since her legal battles with producer Dr Luke, where she accused him of abusing her sexually and emotionally during their professional relationship.
The trailer hints at her legal battles with Dr Luke and her record label, under which Rainbow was released due to contractual obligation.
Per her original contract with Dr Luke, the singer is supposed to produce a total of six records under Kemosabe, which Dr Luke formed with Sony Music Entertainment. Sony Music Entertainment assured her that she would not have to work with the producer on future music and Dr Luke exited Kemosabe last year.
Kesha's voice overs include lines that describe feeling overwhelmed, depressed and "trapped". Footage of live performances also shows her yell "you don't own me!" into a microphone on stage.
