Trailer for H Is For Hawk with Brendan Gleeson and Claire Foy released
The film is set to release to Irish cinemas on January 23, 2026.
The trailer for the upcoming film H Is For Hawk starring Brendan Gleeson and Claire Foy has been released.
H Is For Hawk, directed by The Crown's Phillipa Lowthorpe, is the screen-adaptation of Helen MacDonald's bestselling 2014 memoir. The film premiered at the 52nd Telluride Film Festival in August, followed by the London Film Festival in October.
The film will center around Helen, played by Foy, and the journey with grief following the death of their father, played by Gleeson. To cope with the loss, Helen buys a goshawk named Mabel, setting their motivations towards training the bird.
Within the last few years, Gleeson, a Dublin-native, received critical acclaim for his performance in the BAFTA-winning film, the Banshees of Inisherin (2022), set in the Aran Islands. Emmy-winner Foy is known for her run as famed monarch Queen Elizabeth II on The Crown. The film also features Wexford actress Denise Glough.
H Is For Hawk is set to release to Irish cinemas on January 23, 2026.
