The Late Late Show to celebrate Bob Geldof's 70th birthday this Friday
The Boomtown Rats, Midge Ure, Andrea Corr, Imelda May and many more are set to pay tribute to Geldof on the night.
This Friday, The Late Late Show is set to celebrate the 70th birthday of Irish icon Bob Geldof – chronicling his life achievements from his stellar career with The Boomtown Rats, to Live Aid, Band Aid and beyond.
Ryan Tubridy will be joined in-studio by Geldof and his wife Jeanne, as well as his children Pixie and Tiger, and sister Lynn.
As part of the celebrations, Geldof will receive a special birthday wish from President Michael D. Higgins.
The Chair of the Elders and former President Mary Robinson will speak about her relationship with the Irish rockstar, his vital role as a humanitarian and more.
The Boomtown Rats, Midge Ure, Andrea Corr, Imelda May and many more will also be paying tribute on the night.
There will also be special star-studded contributions from Geldof's friends, including Sting, Van Morrison, Tony Blair and Ringo.
