Bob Geldof, Kyla Cobbler and more to appear on The Late Late Show tomorrow

Singer and activist Bob Geldof and comedian Kyla Cobbler have been announced as guests on Friday night's Late Late Show, along with comedian James Acaster, rugby player Simon Zebo, and Gary Kemp of Spandau Ballet.

Geldof and host Patrick Kielty will discuss the 1985 benefit concert Live Aid, which raised money to combat poverty and hunger. Geldof is the former lead singer of The Boomtown Rats and a humanitarian especially concerned with poverty in Africa.

Musician Gary Kemp of Spandau Ballet, who also performed at Live Aid, will also speak about the day and its impact. His band was one of the most prominent in the UK in the '80s.

Kyla Cobbler will talk about both her career and personal life, including selling out the 3Arena with her show Not My Lemons and expecting her first baby.

Comedian, musician and Celebrity Traitors participant James Acaster tells of holidays in Ireland and his new stand-up show. Acaster is best known for his shows Cold Lasagne Hate Myself 1999 and co-hosting the food podcast Off Menu.

Also in conversation with Kielty that night is rugby player Simon Zebo, explaining his love for Munster and why he wishes he played county for Cork. He has won a Six Nations Championship, two all-Ireland leagues and one all-Ireland Cup among other honours.

The Late Late Show will be live on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player at 9:35 on Friday.
