The Inbetweeners set to return as new revival plans are confirmed
Plans for revival of the British comedy are underway.
The Inbetweeners is set to return, with plans to revive the series across "new formats and platforms".
The news follows a new deal between Banijay UK and Fudge Park Productions, founded by the show's creators Iain Morris and Damon Beesley.
The deal is described as one that "paves the way for the return of the hit comedy title", with potential for new projects across television, film, and stage.
While it's unclear whether the project will be a series or a film, Morris and Beesley indicated the revival would likely centre around the original characters.
“Incredibly exciting to be plotting more adventures for our four favourite friends,” they said in a joint statement.
Originally aired on E4 between 2008 and 2010, The Inbetweeners followed the lives of four suburban teenagers—Will, Simon, Neil and Jay—as they navigated school, friendship, and adolescence. The series ran for three seasons and led to two spin-off films in 2011 and 2014.
Original creators Morris and Beesley have since gone on to work on several projects together and separately, including The Festival, The First Team, and White Gold.
