Sky TV to launch new Documentary and Nature channels this May
They will be joined by all new programming on Sky History, a co-branded venture between Sky and A+E Networks previously known as HISTORY.
Beginning May 27th, SkyTV will launch two new factual channels. Both Sky Documentaries and Sky Nature will be available to Sky customers at no extra cost through linear and on demand.
They will also launch on NOW TV and be available as part of the NOW TV entertainment pass. Sky Documentaries will open with McMillions, about a decade-long gaming scam. Throughout the summer, the channel will add more material, including Hillary, a documentary about Hillary Clinton, Wu-Tang Clan: Of Mics and Men, and Ali vs. Cavett, about Muhammad Ali through the lens of his many appearances on the Dick Cavett Show, and Plastic Nile, which will examine the devastating effects of plastic pollution on the world's longest river.
Sky Nature will be home to natural history programming, including the Sky Original series Wild Animal Babies, and David Attenborough's existing collection and Love Nature shows like Africa's Underwater Wonders.
