Paul Mescal to raise funds for Pieta House by selling his clothes on Vinted
An online auction is due to take place next week
Paul Mescal is set to sell some of his personal clothing items on Vinted to raise funds for Pieta House.
The organisation's Chief Executive Stephanie Manahan told RTÉ's News at One that there will be a host of items available on the second hand fashion website, including Mescal's Jimmy Choo boots, t-shirts and other pieces worn by the Maynooth actor during his recent run of promo and media work for Gladiator II.
"He has become a bit of a style icon," Manahan said.
Founded in Lucan, Co.Dublin, in 2006, Pieta House provides professional counselling, support and education to those experiencing suicidal thoughts, self-harming behaviour and to those impacted by suicide and self-harm.
Mescal has previously used his status to generate funds and awareness for Pieta in the past. The actor helped raise over €70,000 for the charity in 2020, notably auctioning the chain that his character Connell famously in Normal People.
"If someone like Paul can encourage young men to seek help, to reach out, to talk, then it's really a job incredibly well done," Manahan added.
The upcoming auction will take place on Vinted on December 16, with more information available on the Pieta website, s well as their social media channels.
