Ahead of KNEECAP's highly anticipated release in Irish cinemas on August 8, the official trailer for the feature film has finally been released.
Based on the origin story of KNEECAP, the film stars the Irish hip-hop group's members Mo Chara, Móglaí Bap and DJ Próvaí as themselves, in their acting debuts – alongside Academy Award–nominated Michael Fassbender, Simone Kirby, Jessica Reynolds, Fionnuala Flaherty and Josie Walker.
KNEECAP, directed by Rich Peppiatt, had its world premiere at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival – where it won the highly coveted Audience Award in the NEXT section.
Following its Irish release, the film will be shown in UK cinemas from August 23. KNEECAP is also set be released in North America, after being acquired by Sony Pictures Classics.
Ahead of the film's release, the Belfast group are set to unveil their long-awaited debut album, Fine Art, on June 14.
