Nicola Coughlan wins Best Comedy Performance for Big Mood at the TV Choice Awards
The show was recently renewed for a second season.
Nicola Coughlan has won the 'Best Comedy Performance' category at the 2025 TV Choice Awards for her portrayal of Maggie in Channel 4's Big Mood. The ceremony was held at The Hilton on Park Lane London last night.
The Galway-born actress was also nominated for 'Best Drama Performance' for her lead role as Penelope Featherington on the third season of Bridgerton, an alternate history, Regency-era romance series, but the award ended up going to Mr Bates Vs The Post Office's Toby Jones.
In the series, Coughlan plays Maggie, a 30-year-old writer with bipolar disorder who navigates life alongside co-star Lydia West (It's a Sin), her friend for 10 years. The 'dramedy' has been recently renewed for a second season by Channel 4, as Deadline reported.
"(Big Mood has) been one of the greatest joys of my life," shared the actress in a recent Instagram post, adding she is "deeply grateful to everyone who loves our mad, funny, sad show."
