Mitski announces concert film Mitski: The Land
The film takes place over three nights of performances in Atlanta, Georgia.
Mitski has announced her concert film Mitski: The Land.
The feature was recorded over three nights at the Fox Theatre Atlanta, Georgia during her 2024 The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We tour, in support of her 2023 album of the same name.
According to the film's website, it brings "a cinematic intimacy to the sweeping live experience, showcasing music from 'The Land Is…' alongside reworkings and reimaginations of songs that colour her expansive career."
The American singer-songwriter started her career with her self-released 2012 album Lush. Additionally, she has released 2013's Retired from Sad, New Career in Business, Bury Me at Makeout Creek (2014), Puberty 2 (2016), Be the Cowboy (2018), Laurel Hell (2022) and The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We.
The artist has won a number of awards, including a Libera Award for Record of the Year in 2024 for The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We and a 2022 AIM Independent Music Award for Best Live Performer.
Mitski took her tour to Dublin's 3Arena on May 4, 2024.
Mitski: The Land is set to come to cinemas worldwide on October 22.
