Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker receive The Ireland Funds Performing Arts Award
Both actors are being honoured for “their passionate support of Irish arts and culture"
Actors Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker have been honoured with the prestigious Ireland Funds Performing Arts Award on Thursday night at the 46th annual Ireland Funds New York Gala.
Since its creation in 1978, the organisation has raised over $650 million for its work with nonprofit organisations and causes serving communities across the country.
Broderick and SJP have long been regular visitors of Ireland and have a holiday home in Donegal, with Parker posting regularly about the country on her social media pages.
Earlier this week, SJP praised the “great hosts” of RTÉ lyric FM, as the station celebrated its 25th birthday, saying: "We are very fortunate to have you filling our days with beautiful music."
The station went on to thank SJP, commenting ‘Thank you so much SJP for your very kind message for our birthday. We’re delighted you enjoy the music xx.’
