Trailer released for season six of Slow Horses

The trailer for season six of the Emmy and BAFTA Award-winning series, Slow Horses, dropped today. The season will premier globally on September 16.

"Season six sees the Slow Horses on the run as Diana Taverner embroils them all in a fatally high-stakes game of retaliation and revenge," reads the synopsis.

The series is based off of Mick Herron's Slough House book series, with season six based off of books Joe Country and Slough House.

Slow Horses follows a group of misfit spies who are sent to work at the M15 dumping ground - the Slough House - after making various mistakes in their careers. The dysfunctional team frequently find themselves at the centre of London's biggest crimes.

Gary Oldman stars as Jackson Lamb, the morally ambiguous and bad tempered leader of the group.

Alongside Oldman are Jack Lowden, Kristian Scott Thomas, Saskia Reeves, Jonathan Pryce, Rosalind Eleazar, Aimee-Ffion Edwards and Olivia Cooke returns this season to reprise her role of Sidonie 'Sid' Baker.

The series has received a Certified Fresh score, with season two and four earning 100% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes. The fifth season received nine Primetime Emmy Awards, including a nod for outstanding drama series.

Oldman has earned Golden Globe, Emmy Award, Actor Award and BAFTA TV Award nominations for his performance in the series.

Slow Horses is produced by Apple TV with See-Saw Films and will see Adam Randall return to direct season six.
