Liam Gallagher announces Knebworth 22 concert doc
"I’m still in shock that I got to play Knebworth 2 nights, 26 years after I played it with Oasis," Gallagher said in a statement.
Rock icon Liam Gallagher has announced a feature-length film, documenting his huge Knebworth Park shows this summer, which will come to select cinemas next month.
The new documentary details the Oasis singer’s two concerts at the Hertfordshire venue in June, 26 years after playing there with his band in 1996.
It will be shown in select cinemas worldwide for a limited time from November 17th and get a full streaming release on Paramount+ later this year. Tickets go on sale Friday, 21st October at 9am.

Gallagher reflected on the celebratory gigs in a statement. "I’m still in shock that I got to play Knebworth 2 nights, 26 years after I played it with Oasis," he said.
"I’m still trying to get my head around it. To have played to multiple generations at the same venue so many years apart was beyond Biblical. I’m so glad that we documented it. Knebworth for me was and always will be a celebration of the fans as well as the music. Enjoy the film and let’s do it again in another 26 years. LG x."
Knebworth 22 was directed by filmmaker Toby L (Olivia Rodrigo - Sour Prom, Foals - Rip Up The Road, Blur - Live in New York 2015), who said that the film was a love letter to live music and being together again.
"We wanted to add another layer to Liam Gallagher’s life and story by not just commemorating his return to such hallowed grounds as a solo artist, but also sharing the light with those that make Knebworth such a landmark location – the people," Toby L explained.
"Few shows will ever hit such scale, and precious few moments such as the one experienced earlier this summer, can mean so much to so many. At a time when it’s easy to feel powerless to the weight of the world around us, hopefully this film can be a small reminder of what we’re capable of overcoming. It’s a love letter to live music and being together again."

Liam Gallagher is currently working with the Talk Club charity to improve the conversation about mental health. UK profits from the singer's latest single 'Too Good For Giving Up', which was released on 10th October to mark World Mental Health Day, will be donated to the organsation for six months.
"We all know someone affected by suicide, which sadly seems to be at an all-time high," Gallagher said in a statement. "I've lost many people far too early and it's important to talk. I'm really pleased to be able to help in any way with this song."
The singer has celebrated his fourth UK No. 1 solo album with C’Mon You Know earlier this year, following his three previous solo chart-toppers As You Were (2017), Why Me? Why Not. (2019) and MTV Unplugged (2020), and his seven No. 1 studio albums as part of Oasis.
