Jonas Brothers will reunite to star in new Christmas movie for Disney+
The movie is scheduled for the 2025 holiday season.
Kevin, Nick, and Joe Jonas return to Disney to produce and star in a new holiday comedy movie.
The film's current working title is Jonas Brothers Christmas Movie, and follows the brothers as they “face a series of escalating obstacles as they struggle to make it from London to New York in time to spend Christmas with their families,” per the logline.
Oscar winner Jessica Yu who directed Quiz Lady and This Is Us will direct the movie. Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger are the writer-producers.
The Jonas Brothers are also producing the movie, alongside Adam Fishbach, Spencer Berman and Scott Morgan. The movie will feature original songs from executive music producer and Grammy nominee Justin Tranter.
The brothers have a long history with Disney. From their roles in Camp Rock and its sequel, to their own two-season sitcom Jonas. They have also released their albums with Disney-owned label Hollywood Records.
The band parted ways in 2013 but reunited six years later with 'Sucker,' which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming their first chart-topping single. Their follow-up album, Happiness Begins, also reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200. In 2023, the Jonas Brothers dropped their sixth studio album, The Album.
They shared the news through an announcement video, revealing the movie is slated for the 2025 holiday season.
