Hollywood royalty Tom Hanks will be attending June’s Dalkey Book Festival
Tickets for the Tom Hanks event will go on sale this Wednesday, May 3rd from 10am via the Dalkey Book Festival website.
Legendary actor and filmmaker Tom Hanks is set to be the star attraction of next month’s annual Dalkey Book Festival.
The event taking place on Bloomsday, June 16th, will feature an address from the two-time Oscar winner, discussing his debut novel, The Making of Another Major Motion Picture Masterpiece. His address will also include the actor’s wider journey from picture to page.
Those set to attend the festival will receive a copy of Hanks’ novel.
This morning it was also announced that Bono and physicist Brian Cox have been added to the line-up.
The festival, which is now in its 14th year, will run from June 15th to 18th, and over its lifetime has included some of the world’s foremost writers and brightest minds.
Among those already due to address the event are Dylan Moran, John Banville, Sebastian Barry, Liz Nugent, Deirdre O’Kane, Roddy Doyle and many more.
Tickets for the the new events featuring Hanks, Cox and Bono will be available from 10am this Wednesday, May 3rd via dalkeybookfestival.org.
