Friday Night Lights reboot confirmed
The shows original executive producer Jason Katims and director Peter Berg are set return to the reboot.
Good Morning America has confirmed that a reboot of TV series Friday Night Lights is in development.
The original show began in 2006 and ran for a total of 5 seasons. The shows original executive producer Jason Katims and director Peter Berg are set return to the show.
Friday Night Lights is centred around a high school football team in a small town in America. The reboot is set to focus on a new football team and their head coach as they work towards the Texas High School State Championship title, acting as a point of hope for their town after it had been devastated by a hurricane.
The original cast included actors Jesse Plimons, Kyle Chandler and Eric Taylor. The cast of the reboot is yet to be revealed.
In 2011, actors Jason Katims and Kyle Chandler both won Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, for their roles in the hit show.
