First Look: Robert Sheehan stars in The Umbrella Academy for Netflix
The show is set to air in February 2017.
Irish actor Robert Sheehan will star in the new Netflix series The Umbrella Academy, which is set to air 15 February 2019.
The series is based on the Eisner award winning comics and graphic novels by Gerard Way, and will also star Ellen Page, Tom Hooper, Emmy-Raver Lampman and Mary J.Blige. It is produced by Universal Cable Productions for Netflix.
The show will consist of ten one hour episodes, available to watch on the streaming service. The show tells the story of an academy set up by a now deceased billionaire to train seven orphans to save the world. On his passing, after years of estrangement they reunite to investigate his death and try to deal with an impending apocalypse on the horizon. The show was picked up as part of Netflix's expansion into comic book adaptations.
