The new comedy features social media personality Steven He, raised in Limerick.
Filming of new martial arts comedy Kung Fu Deadly has begun in Dublin and Meath.
Produced and written by Paddy McDonald of Predestination, the film will star Irish YouTuber Steven He. Directed by the BAFTA award-winning Fergal Costello, the film also features actors like Michael Tient, Gemma Chua-Tran, Jason Tobin and Max Huang.
The story follows two pest controllers who mistakenly tranquilize a Taoist hunter of the Chinese undead. Wrapped in a supernatural world and with time running out, the exterminators must work together to save the city.
“It is truly a privilege to be bringing such a novel and exciting movie to audiences with such a wonderfully talented cast and crew, and in partnership partners who are so supportive of the vision for this ground breaking Irish genre movie with tons of action and even more. We can’t wait to share it with audiences,” said McDonald.
