Dan Levy, the Emmy Award-winner know for Schitt's Creek, is set to premiere his new Netflix series, Big Mistakes, on April 9. Levy serves as the writer, director, and one of the stars of the show.
Big Mistakes is described as a blend of a comedic family saga and a high-stakes crime thriller. The series follows siblings Nicky (Levy), a queer priest and Morgan (Taylor Ortega), who are profoundly ill-equipped to handle the resulting chaos after a poorly planned theft for their dying grandmother plunges them into the dangerous world of organised crime.
Levy, a Canadian actor and filmmaker, gained international recognition for co-creating and co-starring as David Rose in the CBC sitcom Schitt's Creek, alongside his father, Eugene Levy. He also played a supporting role in the romantic comedy Happiest Season and his 2023 feature directorial debut, the drama Good Grief, which he also wrote and starred in with Ruth Negga, Himesh Patel, and Luke Evans.
Rachel Sennott, the co-creator and executive producer of Big Mistake and known for writing and starring in Bottoms, was originally slated to play Morgan but departed the project when HBO picked up her new series I Love LA.
