Apple TV+ releases Presumed Innocent trailer starring Ruth Negga
The limited series will also star Jake Gyllengall and Renate Reinsve
The trailer for Apple TV’s Presumed Innocent has been released, starring Irish actress Ruth Negga alongside Jake Gyllenhaal and Renate Reinsve.
The crime series is based on the eponymous 1987 New York Times bestselling novel by Scott Turow and tells the story of a prosecutor suspected of the murder of one of his colleagues.
Turow’s novel has previously been adapted into a 1990 film starring Harrison Ford and Bonnie Bedelia.
This new adaptation takes the form of an eight-episode series created by David E. Kelley and produced by Gyllenhaal and J.J Abrams. It will also star Bill Camp, Elizabeth Marvel and Peter Sarsgaard.
Best known for her role as Mildred Loving in the 2016 film Loving, which earned her an IFTA for Best Actress in a Lead Role, Negga's last appearance on the silver screen dates back to 2023 as Sophie in Good Grief.
Presumed Innocent is set to debut on Apple TV+ on June 12 with two episodes.
