Dublin musician Aby Coulibaly made her debut performance on The Late Late Show on Friday when she sang her new single ‘Rewind’. The 23-year-old performer, known for her singles including ‘Taurus’ and ‘Where u at’, is set to release her debut EP At The End Of The Day, It’s Night this March via her co-founded collective Chamomile Club and AMF Records.
Coulibaly gave an emotional performance on the show and earned high compliments from host Ryan Tubridy, who called the up-and-coming artist a “superstar”.
Before her performance, Coulibaly tweeted that as a kid she had auditioned for The Late Late Toy Show, but that she did not get through. Now performing on The Late Late Show, the singer wrote: “Life comes at u fast.”
I auditioned for the toy show when I was a kid and didn’t get through and now I’m going on the late late to perform my new single. Life comes at u fast

Tubridy praised Coulibaly further in a short Instagram video directed to the singer’s grandmother. “I am the trailer to the movie,” he says while gesturing to Coulibaly. “I shouldn't even be here. I’m like the Christmas stocking to the big gift.”
Coulibaly was featured on Hot Press’ Hot for 2022 Irish Acts list for her unique sound and style. In April 2022 she performed her debut Dublin headline show at The Sound House, which received praise from attendees. Hot Press’ Kate Brayden wrote that Coulibaly “unveiled a string of infectious singles paving the way for glory. The setlist for her headliner at The Sound House on Dublin's Eden Quay is rich and eclectic, but whatever she performs, the crowd go feral for it.”
The artist released her debut single ‘Taurus’ in 2020 amid the coronavirus pandemic and continues to give her fans genre-blending music.
