Watch: Trailer for touring musician documentary 'Hired Gun'

Sure, we all know the Bon Jovis, the Metallicas, and the Billy Joels of the world, but what about the great guitarists, drummers and keyboardists they employ to tour with them? Where's there moment in the spotlight?

A new documentary called Hired Gun seeks to let these people have that day in the sun, as it were. For those who don't know a 'Hired Gun' a term for the best of the best tour musician, the person who popular artists will always go back to when they need someone to rely on.

The doc reveals how, in some instances, these marginalised musicians weren't just playing the songs at gigs with the start performer but could also end up be an integral part of the group or artists sound.
