Watch: Trailer for David Fincher's new Netflix series Mindhunter
Prepare for disturbing odyssey into the minds of 1970s killers.
Anyone who knows David Fincher will know that he has a thing for serial killers and detective stories.
Two of his best films, in fact, Seven and Zodiac, have covered just that kind of territory. The director's latest Netflix series, Mindhunter had its first full trailer come out today and it looks to channel the spirit of the 2007 film.
The series revolves around two agents in 1979 who interview imprisoned serial killers to try to solve ongoing cases. It's based loosely on the groundbreaking work of two real FBI agents who worked in the Behavioural Science Unit around the same time.
The trailer is a subtle example of a gradual racketing up of tension through clever sound design.
