Watch: Trailer for Ben Stiller indie 'Brad's Status'
Directed by the man who wrote 'School of Rock'.
As he gracefully enters the twilight period of 'middle age', Ben Stiller has moved increasingly away from the broader comedy he made his name with and become something of a powerhouse in the world of independent cinema.
Since 2010, the actor has made 3 films with indie god Noah Baumbach, with The Meyerowitz Stories being very well received at Cannes earlier this year. Now Amazon Studios have dropped the trailer for another smaller vehicle with the comic performer.
Brad's Status tells the story of an ageing father Brad (Stiller) who is dissatisfied with how his life turned out as he can't help but compare himself to his more successful friends (Luke Wilson, Jermaine Clement and Michael Sheen). While Brad is helping his son decide what college he should attend, he finds himself in wistful mode, reflecting on the decisions he made to end up where he is now.
Written and Directed by Mike White, the film was co-financed by the multimedia giant Amazon studios.
