Watch: The Young Pope Teaser Trailer
Stop us if you've heard this one before, but this Pope doesn't seem like a nice guy.
HBO just dropped their first trailer for The Young Pope, a new television series about a young Pope. The greater details of the story aren't known, but, judging by the trailer, it will be set in modern times or the near future. The newest Pope, played by Jude Law, is the most recently elected person to hold the title. However, he appears to be an unknown, much to the chagrin of the cardinals who chose him.
This news comes right after the first episode of Westworld HBO's new high concept science fiction show, which you can watch on Sky Atlantic. The Young Pope is directed by Paolo Sorrentino. It will have its world premiere in Italy, Germany, and Austria on 21 October, followed by a UK and Ireland premiere on Sky Atlantic on 28 October.
