WATCH: New trailer for Disney's Moana released
New teaser for Disney's latest animated feature breaks the surface
A new trailer for Moana, Disney's upcoming film of high-seas adventure in the South Pacific, surfaced during the Olympics.
The movie, slated for November, follows the titular Moana, a young girl chosen by the ocean itself to embark on a journey to save the world.
Moana is aided by Maui, a demi-god and shapeshifter voiced by Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. Together they must face an ocean full of danger in what looks to be a visually breathtaking outing from the animated juggernaut.
The soundtrack is being provided by a team featuring Lin-Manuel Miranda, fresh off his award-winning Broadway run of his musical Hamilton. Hopes are high that such talent can help Moana take its place in Disney's long lineage of beloved film musicals.
