Watch: Man Down Teaser Trailer

Shia LaBeouf stars in Man Down, a post-apocalyptic drama thriller where a veteran returns from a tour in Afghanistan to a world that appears no different than the one he left. The conflict revolves around him searching for his missing wife and child.

It's an odd premise, but the trailer sells the bleakness of the scenario, with dramatic cinematography, heart-pounding acting, and a great leitmotif. It's good to see Shia LaBeouf take on serious roles.

The film made its debut last year at the 72nd Venice International Film Festival, but it will have its first release for wide audiences in the US on 2 December, with UK and Irish releases to follow.
