Watch: Jude Law's 'The Young Pope' Trailer Premieres
The controversial new HBO/Sky Atlantic series is set in the Vatican.
The upcoming ten-part miniseries The Young Pope is certainly ruffling some feathers.
The premise for the series in simple, Jude Law becomes the first American to be elected Bishop of Rome, leading the 47-year-old to be dubbed as the young pope. However, it quickly becomes apparent that his victory might not have been so unanimous, and that he's getting help behind the scenes from a shadowy Vatican Cardinal.
The series is directed by Paolo Sorrentino, and also stars Diane Keaton, James Cromwell, Silvio Orlando and Ludivine Sagnier.
The Young Pope airs for the first time on Irish television on Sky Atlantic on October 27.
